HITS is the larger form of Multi System Operator which operates its link between cableoperator and broadcaster via satellite. India with its varied geogrophic region and with small villages in abundant this technology would be encouraging to the digital reach in remote.
Though looking expensive in first sight it would be a success in the long run in rural India where even today connectivity through cables is not possible.
